If you’re unsure about which level to choose, get in touch with our friendly support team who will be happy to assist you.
Suitable for kids aged 7-12 who are new to coding and looking to take their first steps to becoming creators of technology, not just consumers. Using drag & drop coding, kids will learn all about loops, events, in-game physics and more. Our aim is for kids to have a great time learning to code while also gaining a sense of achievement when they finish their game.
For kids aged 7-12 who are already familiar with drag & drop coding, these sessions are slightly more advanced than our beginner level sessions and will also cover elements of JavaScript - the language of the web!
The training wheels are off! Solidify your child’s coding knowledge in our advanced level sessions. Coding in pure JavaScript, your child will learn advanced coding concepts whilst creating their very own app.
If you’re unsure about which level to choose, get in touch with our friendly support team who will be happy to assist you. Running all three levels concurrently means we’re able to move students between levels freely - so if your child is finding their sessions too easy or too difficult, we can accommodate them in another level.
We make learning to code fun for kids by showing them how to create their very own games on Code Camp World - our online coding platform. In our online sessions, your child will either use drag & drop coding, JavaScript or both to create their game.
Learning to code is a lot like learning a foreign language - it’s easier for younger kids to pick up the basics than it is for us adults. And when learning a new language, we tend to learn phrases as opposed to individual words.
In drag & drop coding, students use pre-built code blocks - just like phrases in a foreign language. Using these blocks, kids can gain an understanding of the logic behind coding and how computers ‘think’ without getting bogged down in tricky syntax (like a missing semi-colon).
In our intermediate and advanced camps, kids will use JavaScript - the language of the web as used by virtually every website (including Facebook, Google and YouTube). This is a free-typed coding language meaning every line is typed out manually.Â
This real-world coding language is incredibly popular due to its versatility - it’s also one of the simplest to learn which is why kids love to build games using it.
With the rollout of our first online packages in March came the opportunity to gather feedback from parents, students and our instructors.
