About YouTube Creators

YouTube Creators is for the vloggers, gamers and budding content creators!

Kids aged 8-13 are invited to harness their creativity and join us for two days of planning, storytelling, filming and video editing. While we can't promise YouTube Stardom, we're sure kids will leave with a new lens on screen time! Let's get them producing and directing their own ideas instead of simply watching other people's!

In this course students will:

  • Use professional editing software to cut together footage and add music, chroma key backgrounds, video effects and transitions
  • Gain confidence in performing in front of audiences and on set
  • Create a personal brand 
  • Work with friends and individually
  • Learn about staying safe online 
  • Receive a Code Camp t-shirt, wristband and medal!

Code Camp commences at 9:00 am and finishes at 3:30 pm. Drop-off starts from 8:30 am and pick-up ends at 4:00 pm.

Design your channel and plan your first video

Content ideation, planning and branding are something all superstar YouTubers are good at - in this camp we'll go through all the steps to make our channel design and first video a success!

Star in and edit your content

Bring your ideas to life using a green screen setup, cameras, lights and editing software

Share your creations with the world (or at least your parents)

We'll host your videos on a secure Code Camp server which you can then choose to send to whoever you want, including YouTube!

Code Camp World

Where your child becomes the creator! Get ongoing access to our coding platform so your child can continue coding beyond the last day of camp. It's packed with free tutorials to keep your kids engaged throughout the term!

We've adapted our in-person camps into highly-engaging innovative online sessions!

How it works

  1. Choose a week of the school holidays below
  2. Your child will receive 2 hours of exciting and engaging coding activities per day
  3. Your child may log in at anytime during 9:30am - 1:00pm each day
  4. Our brilliant live tutor team will be online to help your kids code and create their own game over the week

After the week is over, your child can continue logging into Code Camp World to continue on their own, or they're welcome to try the next level (online or in-person)!
